Jessica Harrington (she/her/hers)

Community Media Liaison

Jessica is a cis white woman who comes to the Newburyport DEI Alliance knowing equity is at the core of sustainable community development. Through her work at the Greater Newburyport Community Media Hub, Jessica has seen how differences drive people to think critically, and views media literacy as an essential part in dismantling wide-spread discrimination. Jessica studied Media & Communication and Sustainable Food Systems at Temple University in Philadelphia, where she learned the true value of diversity. A community is only as strong as their most disenfranchised populations, and when people come together to support one another, local economies thrive and public health increases. Jessica is proud to be an advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion in the Newburyport Community, and is eager to help implement DEI-driven policies, and create space for enlightened conversations to unravel. Outside of this work Jessica helps others live healthier lives as an Integrative Health Coach, she loves traveling, gardening and walking the beaches of Plum Island where she was raised.
