The Mission of the YWCA is eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. I strongly believe in this mission and have worked diligently to implement it in the programs we run at the YWCA. I joined the committee as an opportunity to help spread the YWCA mission beyond our association. My hope is that this Alliance can help policy makers and community leaders understand that DEI is not merely a moral imperative but is also in their self interest. My wife and I are avid SCUBA divers and dive year round in NE.
